Our family decided to take a leap and open up our first dry cleaning store in Murfreesboro in October of 1985 located in the Kroger shopping center at the corner of Northfield and Broad Street. As a nine year old I wondered, “Why could it not have been an arcade, or an ice cream shop!?” But growing up in the business, I grew to understand the advantages of owning your own business, the risks involved, the responsibilities, and the ability to directly effect your employees and families success. Although there were some skinny times starting out, my parents, Jim and Nancy Batcheler, made the sacrifices to ensure our business would succeed. We added a second store at Barfield Crescent Road in 1997, and a third at the Kroger on Memorial in 2001.
The goal of Clubside Cleaners, its owners, managers, and employees is to provide courteous, high quality service to our customers at an exceptional value. We are firmly committed to providing each of our employees a safe and healthy work environment. The two most important aspects of our business are the people we employ and the customers we serve.
Every customer is important to us! We hope, whether you are an existing customer, or using our service for the first time you notice the little things: replacing hooks and missing buttons, making minor repairs, using your name and greeting you in a friendly, courteous manner, and having your clothes ready when promised.
Many things have changed since 1985. We have gone from hand writing your invoice to a computer system that can invoice your clothes electronically. Our software enables us to know when you dropped your clothes off, the types, colors, and piece counts of your items. Any special instructions you may request are easily noted and saved in your profile. We know exactly where your clothes are in our process and now have the ability to email you that your items are ready (no more waiting until 5 pm!) At the end of every day, we know how many pieces we have cleaned and pressed, and safeguards in place to inspect your garments and ensure your order is complete and ready for you to pick up.
We have always offered alteration service but in November of 2011, we hired an on site seamstress, Miss Angie. She is located at our store on memorial. Miss Angie can take care of ANY of your alteration needs. Better yet, any of our customer service representatives can take in your alterations at all three store and we can return your altered garments the next business day.
Also in November of 2011, we started offering Tuxedo rental! Please keep us in mind if you have an event you want to look your best. Being a full service dry cleaner we offer services other Tuxedo rental outlets in Murfreesboro cannot.
